Training Diary – A Shared Tool for Your Progress
The training diary is designed for those of you working with me who want to get the most out of our collaboration. It helps you reflect, recognize patterns, better understand your dog, and track your progress over time – while giving me the insight I need to provide the right support.
📝 How it works:
– Fill in the diary when you want to share how things are going – after an important session, when something has changed, or when you have questions. It does nothave to be after every session.
– You can either send the completed Word documentor paste your answers directly in an email– choose the method that works best for you.
– Everything you submit is stored under Recommendations & Training Guidancein your dog’s training journal.
– I read everything you send and always respond via email.
📆 When should you send in the training diary?
– When there’s been a change in behavior or training progress
– When you have questions, thoughts, or need support
– Always at least 3 days before your next scheduled session– so I have time to review it and plan the next set of recommendations, exercises, and strategies
💡 What you gain from using the diary:
– Better understanding of your dog’s signals, emotions, and needs
– Help identifying what works – and why
– A way to track your progress over time
– Greater clarity and confidence in your training
– Tailored guidance that matches your real-life situation
🔍 What I gain as your coach:
– Insight into how the training is working between our sessions
– A clearer picture of how your dog reacts over time
– The ability to adjust exercises, goals, and training plans
– The opportunity to give you more accurate and timely support
💬 Want to keep a copy for yourself?
You’re welcome to! Many clients choose to keep their own records to monitor long-term progress. You can:
– Fill in the Word document and save it on your device
– Add comments or photos
– Use the diary as a shared log for your household
